Corning Incorporated Foundation Gives $5K to Library

Corning Incorporated Foundation has made a generous grant of $5,000 to the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies (ICCS) to support library acquisitions in the areas of ancient art, archeology, technology, and related fields.

Professor Michael Maas, chair of the ICCS Managing Committee and Professor of History and Classical Studies at Rice University, noted that “the Corning Incorporated Foundation gift will enable ICCS to provide new scholarly material to ICCS students. Research is a vital part of the ICCS program, and up-to-date materials are critical to students’ research.”  Professor Maas expressed sincere appreciation to Corning Incorporated Foundation for its support of ICCS.
